Types of polyurea coatings

What is polyurea?

Polyurea is a two-component coating made by reacting an isocyanate with a resin blend through high-pressure heated spray equipment. It reacts within seconds to form a seamless, flexible, waterproof and impact-resistant membrane that protects concrete, steel, fibreglass and industrial substrates in demanding environments.

Pure polyurea

Contains no polyurethane additives — the highest-performing system for waterproofing and protective coatings.

    Surface preparation

    Shot-blast or grind to SSPC-SP standards; repair defects; prime.

  2. 02

    Conditioning

    Heat A/B components to ~70°C and pressurize to ~2000 psi.

  3. 03

    Impingement spray

    GRACO Reactor plural-component spray with 1:1 mix ratio.

  4. 04

    Cure & QA/QC

    Holiday/DFT testing, adhesion pull-off, handover dossier.
